The director Rian Johnson thanked the locals for: "letting us do all this murdering on their peaceful shores".
Daniel Craig and Kate Hudson’s new film, “Knives Out 2,” began filming in Spetses, as reported by British newspaper Daily Mail which was flooded with photos – images set against the green and blue of the island in the Argosaronic gulf.
During filming, the talented duo walked together on the dock. Kate Hudson wore an eye-catching silk burgundy gown and a large white hat, according to the report from London’s most popular newspaper.
By her side, the genius detective “Benoit Blanc,” portrayed by Daniel Craig, was dressed in a linen ecru suit, blue scarf and pink shirt.
Throughout filming, crew members as well as actors, when not on camera, were protective masks.
Director Rian Johnson signaled the start of filming with a shot of a camera against a backdrop of the blue sea and the port of Spetses on his personal Twitter account, commenting:
“Aaaaaaaand WE’RE OFF! Day one of filming on the next Benoit Blanc mystery. Thanks to all the lovely patient people here in Greece for letting us do all this murdering on their peaceful shores.”
The mystery film “Knives out” takes place behind the closed doors of an estate, in the typical spirit of Agatha Christie, and Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Cathryn Hahn, Jessica Henwick, and Madelyn Cline also star.
The film is expected to show in cinemas next year.
