Greece's Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) and North Macedonia's NER JSC Skopje signed a cooperation agreement for the development and construction of the interconnected natural gas pipeline between the two countries, during the 5th Southeast Europe Energy Forum held in Thessaloniki on Friday.
This was signed by DESFA CEO Maria Rita Galli and NER JSC Skopje Executive Director Bajram Rexhepi, in the presence of Greek Environment & Energy Minister Kostas Skrekas, and the US Ambassadors to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt and to North Macedonia Mary Kate Byrnes.
The Southeast Europe Energy Forum is organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics, in cooperation with the US Embassy in Greece and the strategic support of the Atlantic Council and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
