The Tokyo Paralympics kick offed yesterday with an impressive opening ceremony which saw once again Greek athletes enter the stadium first as per tradition followed by teams from the rest of the world.
One year after they were also cancelled, the Tokyo Paralympic Games are taking place at a time when Japanese society is very anxious with the worst outbreak of the coronavirus so far.
The world’s greatest sport show will be held from August 24 to September 5, with Greek athletes participating who will compete in 11 sports.
The flag bearers of the Greek Paralympic team are Athanasios Konstantinidis and Anna Denta.
