The Chief of the French Defense Staff, General Thierry Burkhard, said in a Twitter post: “I’m very honored to have awarded the Legion of Honor to General Konstantinos Floros, in the name of the close links which unite our two armies.”
In a follow up tweet, he said: “We share a common strategic vision for the security of the European continent and its neighborhood. The Greek armies are today an important partner of the French armies in the Mediterranean and elsewhere.”
