Tsitsipas into the semi-finals

“We are all in this together, let’s go” Stefanos Tsitsipas fired up the vocal crowd in the post-match interview as he marches on into the Semifinals of the Australian Open, defeating Jannik Sinner in three sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-3.

The Greek god of tennis took control from the first game of the match and bullied the 11th seed Italian to take out the first set 6 games to 3.

Not even a rain delay could slow down the 23-year-old Greek, breaking Sinners serve early in the second set, taking a commanding 2 sets to love lead.

The third set went the same way as the second where Tsitsipas broke the 20-year-old Italians serve early and dominated the set to take out the match in three straight sets.

Striking the ball so sweetly from the baseline and coming to the net in a master class performance, Tsitsipas reminded the vocal crowd why he is number four in the world and a real chance to lift the Australian Open trophy in four days’ time.

The 23-year-old will play the winner of the quarter-final between Russian Daniil Medvedev and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime later on Wednesday.
